Let me ask you, if a compound user wanted to join this could he or would you not allow him? The reason I ask is when we started the bow contest, it's open to everyone including traditional and crossbow. This contest can exist if it is all animals and not just strictly deer otherwise it would disqualify you for the Official Bow Contest.

Why would they be disqualified? If a couple of trad shooters wanted to have a "for fun" deer contest that's not sanctioned by HNI,what's the discrepancy. It shouldn't have anything to do with the Official Bow Contest.Just wondering

Rob is just trying to protect everyone who is already on a team in the sanctioned Bowhunting contest. Its part of the by laws of the contest itself that the only bow contest you particiapte in on HNI is that one.

Quoth the rules:

5. Open to all members new and old unless your signed up in another bow contest on HNI(only), please don't sign up and disappear, you'll be replaced. No more than 10 persons per team, drawn randomly....alternate's when necessary starting with first come first serve....I'll oversee it.

What Rob is saying is that as long as we make it an all animal contest. Although those of us in the other bowhunting contest would still be bound to enter our first taken antlered buck in the HNI contest, per its rules.

So we would need to decide if we could use one deer for both.... but I don't think we can.

Long and short of it is we just need to work around the rules of the main bowhunting contest.
