Default Marc's Wolfskin fabric?

I've seen that some of you use the Hidden Wolf Woolens for hunting. Has anybody purchased and used the Wolfskin fabric in any of Marc's clothing products? If so, do you like it? Is it quiet, durable, warm (with linings)? I'm interested in having a jacket made and I am considering the wolfskin as a more affordable alternative to the wool. I would appreciate anybody's advice and experience with this gear as well as advice on liner options and camo pattern options to choose from.

thanks for your help
Chip

Luckily I got my HW wool before Marc got so busy (3-4 yrs back). The lined vest is hands down my all time fav pc of hunting clothing. He's a one man show isn't he? Must be running him ragged! Great stuff & well worth the extra bother to contact him IMO.

Wow! Just checked out the site and ... wow. Looks like some nice semi-custom stuff at a very reasonable price. Those of you who have some of his products, what kind of time frame am I looking at from order to delivery? How do you like the WolfSkin? I'm thinking of getting unlined, mostly for turkey and early season elk. I can always layer underneath for extra warmth but still have the versatility to wear it in warmer climates, too.

Lilhunter, you guys in Alaska are on a completely different metabolism. My sister and family used to live there (Eielson AFB) and when they came here in the winter at high 20's to low 30's they'd be out and about in a long sleeve shirt and that's it (Maybe a LITE jacket.) At -20 I'd need the wool with wool underwear and down parka with eveything I could pile on ... then sit over a heater ... and STILL be cold.

Lot to be said for acclimation. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
