RE: anyone elk hunting this fall with trad bows ?
Well, I had a different hunt planned for September--planned it for two years, and recently it fell through. Not anyone's fault, the fellow I was going to go with (I won't try it by myself--never been) had some things happen that were beyond his control.
Fortunately for me, another hunt fell into my lap shortly after that, and that's the one I plan on now. However, I have a couple of things going on here that could keep me from going. One is a dear friend with terminal cancer who isn't doing well. If he passes on or around the day I'm supposed to leave, I'll have to wait until next year. There's also a legal matter that may wind up falling on the wrong date. Been waiting to settle it for over a year, so I can't postpone it if the dates don't fall right.
I'm dying to go on my first elk hunt, but both of the above are much more important to me.
