Default Free recurve this weekend.

Hey guys, I had a friend give me a bow this weekend. Said they found it in the attic. It's a Ben Pearson Puma. The string was pretty beat up, but the bow itself looks to be in great shape. I think I'm gonna have it re-strung and get some arrows and at least start shooting it for fun. I have always had an interest in traditional archery but never enough to spend the time required to be good at it. Any coments or info about this bow would be appreciated. Thanks.

I own a Locksley Puma, Locksley was a company Ben Pearson bought out. The Ben Pearson Puma and the Locksley Puma are the same bow just made in different years. Do a search for in online and you will find some info on it. A decent bow overall. Check out www.archeryarchives.com they have some good info on the Ben Pearson company

Thanks for the info. I will research a little more. I want to get a new string and get the correct arrows for the bow and start shooting it. unfortunately I don't know anyone or any shop in my area that deals a whole lot with traditional stuff. Guess I'll have to do some searching and maybe a liitle driving
