I was at an archery shop over the weekend back home and noticed that he sells long bows now. He said a 15 year old amish kid makes them. He wants $195 for the bow, quiver and five arrows. The price sounds very good but i'm not sure how to tell the quality of the bow. They look very nice and it shot nice. Any suggestions. Thanks.

For me, if I feel the bow stack when drawn, it tells me a lot about how well it is made. If the bow isn't symetrical, the tillering is off, the limbs twisted, etc., I'm gonna feel it in the draw.

There are laws to this in specific areasbut here it is #45. This is for deer tho. If you want to hunt anything bigger like moose I beleive it be like 55-60 plus not sure tho.
