It looks as if I wont be able to shoot my recurves or longbow for at least 3 yrs or longer due to inpendig surgery, was going to have it today but the Nero surgin said my c4 and c7 wasnt the problem when I went in today,It looks like I have a severly damaged rotorcuff and they did test and fast tracked me for another MRI.The NEW Doc(orthapedic)said I was atabout 45% movement without severe pain and figured I would only get back to around 60-75% after surgery if its as bad as they think.........

Sorry to hear about your injury, but I would hold off if I were you. Doctors have been wrong before, I have seen people come back from injuries much more severe than yours, and still get back to all kinds of physical activity. You may find that shooting your bows after the correct amount of rehab, will actually improve your physical range of motion.

Physicans do wonder things, but they are wrong at times too. I knew a friend of mine who had a doctor tell him that he had to give up bow hunting for he health. He sold his 4x4, bows, and gear. He later learned that he could have continued those things and that his doc had an agenda, he was a rabid Anti to the core.

Keep the faith, and I will keep you in my prayers.......

P.S.

If you doubt what I say, try to talk to several doctors about the same thing. If you have five in a room, you will get darn near as many opinions. Outside of God, you are the most important factor in your recovery.....

The 1st Doc was wrong about location but the two yesterday both confermed RC together.I go to a 4th Doc Fri or nxt week he is the Orthapedic surgen out here for confermation on the severity(spl)of the RC.It sounds like its worst the most since Ive been putting up with the pain for a long long time and lackof movement....

Bummer! Hate to hear that, and wish you a speedy recovery. Tore my rotator several years ago--slow recovery, but if you follow the doc's rules hopefully you will be able to get back in the game. One big thing, in my opinion, is don't push it and try to do too much too soon.

I should add, to stay within the HNI forum rules, if you decide to sell please post it in the classifieds section of HNI. Won't be a problem to let folks here know you have it posted though--just don't put a full blown ad.
