Default Relief!

As most of you know, my shoulders are shot. It has been nearly a year and a half since the last time I shot anything but my crossbow. Well, we've been remodeling the house and had everything stashed in the garage. Couldn't get to my crossbow without unloading the whole mess but I could just reach my longbow. Had a few 2315's for my compound in reach. Way overspined for the longbow, but they were arrows.

Went out to the range for our weekly fun shoot and HAD A FREAKIN' BALL! I bet I shot at least a hundred arrows. Most missed what I was shootin' at, but that didn't matter. It was so much fun just to shoot again. It was quite a lift to my spirits too. I didn't realize I was so deep in the doldrums.

My shoulders are aching but not nearly as bad as I was afraid they'd be. A few naprosyn pills, a couple of those stick-on heating pads and I'm functional. Probably not something I can get away with doing very often, but at least I know I can still do a little shooting from time to time.

Arthur, really glad to see you still have the fire. I dread the day I can't draw. I am wondering if however my time will be sooner than later. I have shoulder trouble too. But it sounds like God has given you dozens of years of good shooting.

Don't go overdoing it. Leave a few for the next day.

Good to hear from you.
