Default John Schulz Longbow (pics added 4/4/07)

Well, I got the message in the mail box yesterday that I had a package waiting for me and available for pickup at the Post Office. I was finally able to pick up a decent shape John Schulz longbow. I've been looking for a while now. The bow is 70", says 65#'s at 29.5", however, I have been assured that the bow was checked and pulls 58#'s at 28". I'm shooting it at 29", so I'm sure I'm in the middle somewhere. It has four lams of Bamboo and has brown glass on the limbs. I believe the riser is walnut. I picked it up this morning before work, sneaked out at lunch time and fired a dozen arrows though it. It's pretty much in prefect shape. Very stable, a little hand shock. Managed to shoot a pretty good group with it. But I have not really tuned it in. I'll try to get some pics tonight.

I had a mint condition 76# Schultz that I stupidly let go and wish I had back! Enjoy!

Default Just got a John Schulz Longbow (pics 4/4/07)

Well I had the Schulz Trophy Hunter at the club yesterday. Took a few shots to get used to it, but after that Ishotsurprisingly good. It pretty much shots where I aim (which is always a big plus). Anyway, below are a few pics:

Jim, just curious, what did it sell for? I saw one not long ago that went for $600.

Nice Longbow BobCo19-65!!! I'm probably getting a recurve bow this Monday (April 9th.) What kind of quiver is that; that you're using? I'll try to post pictures of the recurve that I'm gonna buy when it's delivered. Again, NICE BOW!!!
