Default Which arrows?

I have 45#, 50# and 55# recurves that I would like to purchase a few arrows for to determine which flies the best (all @ 28" draw). I planned on buying a few 1916's, 2016's and 2018's...am I going a little lite? Should I bump up hte sizes...I have looked at a few charts and I get some confusing results. A link to a good chart would be great, as well.

Thanks
Brian

bjk - I had a tougher time getting aluminums to bare shaft tune .. so I went to carbons. Gold Tip or Beman shafts are great, and bare shaft well. Try one or two or a couple of sizes and I bet you'll like them. I do use the yellow weight tubes to get my arrows above 500 grains ...

bjk,

Just went thru this exercise. Go to the www.eastonarchery.com. Go to the left side of the screen near the top and click on the Legacy shaft selector icon. This chart provides a better recommendation for shafts. This selector is just set up for recurves and longbows. The regular charts recommend way to stiff arrows. I posted the ones from this chart and most people agreed with the selections.

Brian,
I too have gone to shooting Gold Tips. I shoot the 3555's out of my bow using both my 45# and 55# limbs. They fly great. I too think that the weight tubes are needed for anything bigger than deer.

You may want to try this link to the Easton Legacy

Based on the Legacy chart, the selection I have above should be a good starting point. Thanks for the info.

I will also see if I can get a few Gold Tips...

Thanks again...
