Default Finger tabs or shooting glove?????

Yes I have another question for the masses of stick bow shooters. Which do you prefer the finger tab or the shoot glove? Again I realize it is a matter of personal preference but I would like oppinions. I have heard that finger tabs are more accurate but I always see pictures of Fred Bear using a shooting glove so they cant be too bad for accuracy either. I have used both and I currently use a black widow calf hide with the soft leather pinch guards removed.
Also I am still searching for information on Shakespear takedowns. The one I have is not the Golden Eagle, not even close in appearance. Stick bow dot com and traditional bowhuter didn't have any info.

Shoot straight, aim well,
and tell tall tales to
good friends.

I prefer a tab for a couple reasons. The first being that it leaves the end of my fingers exposed and I can feel my anchor point better. The second is that it distributes the weight across my fingers better and forces me to have a cleaner release. With a glove I have a habit of dragging my middle finger on release. The super archery mitt is the best tab I have found so far.Just my 2 cents Troy

Currently I like a glove. However I am also using 54" recurve with a 31.5 inch draw, so I have some pinching problem. But, I have a custom 66" longbow on order, so I will try both once again. The glove that I'm using is a Black Widow.

Glove for sticks, tab for wheels. But I'll use either for both. Or should that be both for either....<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

I use a Cordovan leather tab-I seem to get a real clean release with a tab.

I used to use a glove years ago. Best thing I ever did was get rid of it and start using a tab.

I get a much cleaner release, can feel my anchor better, and you can spin it around to the back or your hand to get it out of the way if need be.

Tabs are okay on beer cans but I don't like them on my fingers. To me there is a disconnectedness with a tab. A glove gives me the feel of using my fingers. With a tab I am aware of having some foreign thing on my hand that I must contend with in addition to the string. Of course it is all personal preference.

I use a glove with one of the tips cut out of the finger so I can feel my achor point. I suppose I could get used to a tab but I dont like it because it feels like I am holding some kind of gadget in my where a glove feels like its part of my hand.

I bought and tried on a couple of gloves, then promptly sold them on ebay. Been using a tab since I first picked up a compound and then years later and ago, going to a stick. They just feel better to me.

Make em sharp and shoot em straight, or leave em home.
