Default BEAR Cub

I picked up a Bear "CUB" last year and have found it to be an enjoyable shooter. Does anyone else shoot this model of recurve?

A Bear Cub is my current hunting bow. 62" and 48#@28". Dark green glass on the back and yellowed white on the belly. A very good shooter. A coworker gave it to me and I gave him $20 just to make me feel better. It was made in 1968... I really like shooting it. Smooth draw and fairly quick. Very little handshock. Coupled with a Great Northern quiver it looks pretty sharp.. like Fred might walk up any minute and lay claim to it!!

Thanks Chad, I also like my CUB, it is one of the quietest bows I have ever shot even without string silencers. I am pretty sure my bow was produced in the 1950's as it has the original leather grip that sports a leather shelf wrapped tight to the riser. This bow is made to shoot either right or left handed as it does not have the modern center shot riser. I would really like more history on it, the POLARs and GRIZZLY's had aluminum laminates which didn't work out to well with the glues of the times. Thanks again for the reply.

The Bear cub is a excellent bow I own several Bear recurves and own 2 cub's it's a very good bow lite and little to no handshock like GarMan said I myself use a Bear Grizzley but my son took up the Bear cub and so did my wife so I dont get to use them as much as I did but if I ever get a chance to buy another one I will
