Default Leaving the string on?

Should I leave the string on at all times if I am shooting everyday.

Depends on what type of bow you have. Selfbows need to be unstrung. I leave my laminated recurves strung. But unstring my Longbows by the Bowyers advice. Best thing to do IMO is check with the bowyer.

I have a recurve that's only been unstrung a half dozen times in the past 16 yrs. It hasn't lost a pound in weight. Most of my bows remain strung simply due to the fact that I shoot them all so much.

I unstring them all when I'm done shooting for the day--recurves and longbows. It only takes 2 seconds to unstring it.

I don't recommend stringing a recurve without a stringer. Just my opinion.
