I just got a chek-mate longhorn in the mail today. It was 62" 54# at 28" but up to 60# at my draw. It shoots really well, I am shooting 30" 2018s and it realy zips them in there. I am having a slap sound at the shot. All I can figure is that it is from the string coming down and hitting the string groove, I am going to try to wrap some yarn around the string tips and see if this helps. I really like the slender grip and radical looks of the bow. There were some compound shooters shooting on the line at the local indoor range, they could use some serious practice, average groups between the three of them were in the 12-13" range at 18 yards. it was a father and two sons, sons being in mid-late 20s, father in 50s. as I strung up my bow they all gave me supperior looks until I consistantly shoot groups in the 3-4" group at same 18 yards, and this is after the first 20 minutes of owning the bow. I had to stop shooting because it was too tough to no heckle them. I also heard one of them teasing the other about shooting a moose in the knee this year, quote "biggest animal out here and you shot it in the knee, hahahaha" The way they were shooting they shouldn't be out in the woods at all until they get thier act together.

That Chad is an evil man. I got my first Crusader week before last and ordered another one last week. I think he has some vodoo coming thru the computers<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>. My bow is as sweet shooting as yours. Be very careful or he'll have you under his spell and you'll be buying another one soon!

This is my fourth chek-mate bow. I have a T/D Crusader, and a Hunter II recurve with two sets of limbs along with this longhorn. I did have a raven recurve for a short time but with my 30" draw lenght it was a little too short. Plus I have another Crusader one piece on order. I am thinking about getting one of each chek-mate bow.
