Default 4in shiels cut feathers

Hi, right now i'am shooting 2018 arrows out of my recurve with 5 inch fletching, was thinking of trying some arrows with 4 inch shield cut feathers and was wondering if 4 inch is enough to get good arrow stability with braodheads. thanks for any responses guys.

I use 5" Turkey feathers and my arrows fly very very well.

4" feathers will work, if everything is tuned properly. I like 5"--although I can shoot field points 20 yds with no feathers, I like the added assurance a little more feather offers in case I draw short, pluck, etc. while hunting.

Another option is do a 4-fletch with the 4" feathers.
