Default best long bow for under 300$ any ideas

i want to start shooting a long bow i have been hunting with a compound for years but want to try out some traditional shooting. any good ideas for 300$ range please give any web addresses or info thanks all

$300? Build your own. Cost? about $200 including your form and heat box. $275 if you don't have any tools. Dick

If you want new, there're lots of bows listed here, maybe it'll help. (I've heard good about the Bear Montana longbow, & it's well under the $300 mark)...best luck & let us know what you come up with!

If a LB is what you really want.(The change over is harder than with a recurve) Try Martin. Their stick is fairly good to start with.

suprised you said that Dick LOL..spend another 200 tops and buy a crusader! You wont ever look back!!! Well I am waiting on another bow, its in the mail, I'll take pics and post them. I've already seen the bow and man she is scweet looking! Oh btw it was cheaper then the crusader and it is a td also! Dunno if he wants me posting though so if your here PB go for it <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>! If not I will show it off once I get my hands on her.....

I hear ya there, the 2 I built blew up long before I had the chance to draw them LOL...hopefully these to hickory staves in my corner will turn out better...

Radco bow by John McCollough under $275 and a real good shooter. He makes the Shrew bows for Ron LaClair
