Default First Traditional Harvest !

Things finally came together for the right shot on Friday night! Things happend way too fast and I ended up releasing just before anchoring. The 7 point buck did go down within 150-200 yards and I was able to recover him first thing the next morning with the help of my 17 year old nephew/god son. He had arrowed his first archery deer, a 5 point buck the morning before. What a great relief. I can't wait to do it again..only better next time. See the "other site" for a wordy explanation.

Congratulations on a fine hunt.

Make em sharp and shoot em straight, or leave em home.

Congrats on the deer man, and the first trad. harvest. My first was a squirrel. So far it's my only, I haven't been able to hunt much. I'm looking foward to coyote hunting though. That ought to be interesting! Keep it up and have fun.

God bless,
Brandan

subsonic - I love my Chek-Mate! I haven't shot a huge amount of different bows, but I know what I like. It is very light weight and smooth. I can't believe I can shoot a 52" bow at my 29"+ draw with XL glove hands. Its a great shooter with snappy performance. There's little doubt what brand bow I will be shooting next. I know exactly what I want, but they won't make it for me yet! (A one piece, 56-58" Hunter II, cocobolo and red elm .....pretty please Marc! )

Lilhunter - I'm sorry some of you trouble makers can't get on the other site to read the whole story<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Lets just say I got the whole story in there. If anyone is interestred I can rewrite it here for all to read.

Thanks for the good words fella's. I really can't wait to do it again. I thought I might be done for the season, but I'm starting to think otherwise now. (Still have an anterless tag)
