Default More BH Opinions: Woodsman, Snuffers....

Well I've been thinking about which heads I'm going to shoot out of the recurve. Originally I was going to shoot stingers, and then I started reading about Woodsman's. But I've never had any experiece with them at all. I know they have a carbon steel blade like a zwickey and the snuffer. Anyone have any insight? I like the 3 full COC blades.

Only insight I can give you is I've used Snuffer for ever and love them. Had a friend use WW on pigs in Florida and he hit a porker and had the point curl way around. Did not get the pig.

Broadheads like snuffers, wenselwoodsmen, ect are a good COC broadhead but make sure that you get them scary sharp.

razorcaps. just like the woodsman except stainless steel. very good heads IMO. I just took a 150lb boar saturday with one shot thru right shoulder into heart. didn't get pass thru but pig didn't go far neither only about 50 yards. surprised me as this was the first time not to get a pass thru on a pig. I don't get complete pass thru's but what is important is the exit side which makes for easier trailing. I am shooting a hoyt 50lb recurve, 2117 arrows, 29 inch long, 5 inch feather, 100gr razorcaps. they fly like darts for me. good luck.

Woodsmans or Snuffers would be my choice! Both are great, I would select the woodsman if I wanted to increase penetration on game like elk. On deer both are great and a Snuffer will leave one heck of a hole!

Personally, I like 150 grain stingers best.

BobCo19-65 I'm going Stingers again this year too. Great flight, tough heads, easy to sharpen
