Well I signed up but I am not a true trad. archer because I still love to shoot my compound. But I have been shooting my recurve (Martin Hunter) for several years. I am going to hunt with it this year so I could end up killing my firstrecurve deer for the contest, only time will tell. I like shooting both because when I get burned out with my compound and all that comes with it I can always pick up my recurve and just let some arrows fly without all thatmental baggage about mechanics, pins, peep, etc. I practice with my recurveout to about 40 yards or so, I'm not as consistent as I would like to be at that range but I found it makes the target seem a lot bigger when I move backin to 15-25 yards.

I sure hope you all join the contest, it's about coming together and having nothing to do with equip of choice.

I'm in. For those that aren't it's a great way to meet some new guys and share the stories through the season, I definitely recommend it.

I'm WAY in. I'm a newbie traditionalist but hope to christen my recurve this year with a decent buck. I'll probably take a few does long before that happens though.
