Default Dream hunt...

Im sure this has been done 879,652 times, but just to refresh our memories, What is everyones dream hunt?

I would kill to pack into "Middle Of Nowhere", Montana and hunt for a few weeks with a good buddy, a longbow, and a full backquiver...Elk, Cougar, Mulies, Black Bear, Whitetails, Grouse...

What a creative imagination I have LOL

Lets hear it...

Probably up in Alaska with a longbow. Going to Kodiak Island first to get some of those big grizzlies, then go inland for everything else possible to get in Alaska.

I'd probably already done it if I hadn't ruined my ankle (therefore loosing my job--can't climb ladders and scaffolds all day with a bum ankle). Mine is Australia for Asiatic water buffalo. I have the bow on order (85@30 Crusader longbow), put it on the back burner due to a starving wallet, but I'm still going to try and do it while I'm still able to pull back a heavy bow. Plan to go to OR in the fall of '07 for elk (Rocky Mountain and/or Roosevelt), possibly cougar, black bear, and blacktail too. If we tag out on elk early on, there's a possibility of going after some free-ranging feral bison (escapees from a ranch) while there. Going to concentrate on the elk first. Not #1 on my want-to list, but definately a dream hunt!

Hell that isn't a dream, thats very real. You could that hunt for $1250-1500 tops. I do my colorado elk hunts for under $1,000 if I'm frugal.

My dream hunts would revolve around sheep - Dall sheep in particular.

My dream hunt is to hunt Moose in my home state of MI, the UP to be exact. SCI helped bring back moose to the UP a few years back (I think around 15 years ago???????), but they have never taken off. To many deer with Brain worm. I think we should kill all the deer (not native to the big woods of the south shore) and bring back the moose. Some times I pretened I am hunting moose, but never see any.

In my 23 years of life I have seen 3 moose in the UP, and they have all been in town or on the hw.

Ow I have another. Out in Lake Superior there is a islandnational park called Isle royal. It isa monter of an island out in the middle of the lakeand home toaround 700moose (just pulled that off the top of my head) and a good number ofwolves. My dream would be to get droped off after the park closes in the fall with my bow, a back pack full of gear, a canoe, and some fishing gear. I would have the place to my self. The moose out there just go nuts in the rut. They will fight anywere, saw a picture oftwo monster bulls fighting on the boat dock. That wouldbe thebest. I have always thought they shouldhave a hunt or two out there, they could make so much money.

And another, I want tohead toSouth Dacota with just my bowon aPheasent hunt. Why is this a dream, because I could neverleave the gun behind, just coulndt do it.

I think that is enuf.

LBR, you da man. Go get um.

Number one would be Alaska Moose. But it's a little out of reach. We have a Buffalo Wisc Whitetail and a NewFoundlandMoose comingup though.

Living ina place that lists 11 different big game species (13 if you count the 3 types of mountian sheep) my dreams are an easy opportunity (won't say done deal!) with OTC tags and gas money.

But my ultimate goal/dream would be a Bighorn. Don't need deep pockets for that just time- whichalso seems to be in short supply each fall!

It's 28 degrees, I sneaking through a cedar swamp in Jackman Maine. There is 3 inches of fresh snow on the ground. I have been following a big track for 2 hours. There is no where else I would rather be.
