Default Anybody worked with Yew bows before ?

Am trying to take these down to about #50 but boy this Yew wood is hard.

They are nice and snaky and are tillered to about #80 right now.

The stavesare 69" And 70 " I have never worked yew before.

Nice. One of those for me? I evenually want an entire wood bow. But thinking of hickory. Hey beggars can be choosy?

I have a hickory one I will be tillering soon, maybe if you behave and be a good boy you'll get it for Christmas,LOL

If anybody want to trade for these yew bows for osage ,Am open to that.
These are 85% done unless you want to tiller them down on their weight, they are about to #70-#75 right now and rough.

Alex, are you going to put a shelf on them? I see alot of the yewbows be real snaky. I guess if you get the tiller right, that doesn't matter how they shoot?

Right now I cut them for english type bows a shelf can be added and wrapped with the leather grip if one wants to go that way. I don't know if I'll finish these <i have several yew bows that I purchase already made.
But only have a #35 osage bow <i will like to have one around #55 from osage.
