Default About what is the wieght of feathers?

The ones I want to shoot for longbows. 5" large ones? About how much does three add to an arrow weight. Anyone know?

Probably around 10-12 grains...

Wow, your kidding? A piece? Thats twice the weight of a regular vane. I would have not have guessed that high.

I suppose that big high profile feathers could be a tad heavier..... My standard 5 inch'ers add about 10 grains total weight.

But then again, you've also got to add in the glue..... Not sure what that would be..... Maybe a test is in order..

I will wieght out 3 5" low profile I have tonight and let ya know. They are not has big as the ones I see you guys shooting. But should be in the ballpark.
