CONGRATS! The Savannahs(well, most all the Martin "stickbows") I've seen have been well made, nice looking, & very snappy performers. I'll bet you'll be very happy w/yours!

Post some pics when ya get it & don't forget to let us know how she shoots!

Yea I am pretty excited. Just deciding on arrows. Think I am going to try some very heavy carbons I have on hand to get better and see how they shoot. Then move to cedar arrow eventually. I have a habit of wanting to be perfect from the start. And I can tell it ain't going to happen overnight with a longbow.

Congrats!!!

Yep, it won't be easy at first.... But then again, you didn't buy it b/c you knew it would be easy, did you.? It's the challenge within us that drives us to "this thing of ours"......

Have fun and good shooting!

Don't think I've seen or heardanything negative about the performance of the Savannah. Hope to shoot one soon--a friend has one, but it's only about 35@28 --I can't tell much about any bow that light in draw weight.

Have fun with the new addiction!

what made you decide on the Martin ? A bunch of ppl must be going traditional , most of the long bows & recurves on Bass Pro & cabela's are low in stock. First time I've seen that in awhile. Was going to order a viper deluxe, but didnt have the draw weight I wanted. Guess it's the recurve for another season. Unless I spot something over the summer. Good luck with the bow. Many frustating and fun hours of work ahead.

I picked it because I found a good deal, it felt as smooth as the matthews, but cheaper, you get pretty good resale if I decide I need more poundage later, and I liked its design. Maybe I won't like it, but well see.

I bet you'll like that Savannah. I've put a few arrows through a couple of them and was highly impressed. Good performance, good looking and it felt great in the hand.
