I don't know if I would ever pay those prices big country.

Most of my boows are self bows and I have shot against my buddies with Black Widows and savannah Martins and I will always beat them.
They use to laugh at my 72" Hickory'bamboo backed bow until they saw me take a 1400 Bison, after that I have 12 IAm building for my buddies,LOL.

There is a lot of nice ones on Ebay that will shoot as good as those other models, for a heck of a lot less money.

What's your price range bigcountry? Let us know what you are willing to spend and then it's easier to make suggestions.....

Well, I got one buddy from WV trying to get me to get a takedown recurve from zipperbows. But thats 700 dollars min.Wonderful looking bows butthey are morepure recurves. I was thinking of paying 300-350 dollars. Getting married in June (for the second time), and its sucking my hunting funds pretty bad.

What I am looking for a is a all wood very traditionallongbow.

Bigcountry, The Savannah is a very nice bow, I have one, and like it very much. if I were to buy another I would actually get one made with the Vision grip. Take a look at the Martin Vision also, or the Chek-Mate Crusader.

Is it worth it? Depends on what you like and what you can afford. I haven't shot one, but I have read a lot of positive feedback on them. 'Course the bow one archer swears by, another may swear at. Try to get your hands on one before investing. Check out the classifieds on different sites, you might find one at a bargain.
