RE: flu flu
Bran, larger feathers will only hide other errors, such as a poor release or the wrong arrow spine. I don't have a very good release, but with properly matched arrows I can shoot 20 yards with no feathers at all (with field points--don't try this with broadheads, as they can act like feathers on the wrong end).
Flu-flu feathers will only slow the arrow down, which costs you energy/penetration; along with being super noisy (stand off to the side when someone shoots a flu-flu).
Get your bow tuned properly, match your arrows correctly, and work on getting a decent release;then you won't need big feathers for good arrow flight.
