Default flu flu

I was wondering something about flu flus. I noticed when I shoot them, my arrow is much more stable, straight and accurate. Why dont people use them for whitetails? Is it the added noise? I know they slow down after 30 yards or so but I cant shoot past 15 anyway. Any thoughts? Thanks

I do use large vanes on my bamboo arrows, they are like flu-flus, they are slower though, so maybe people are looking for speed with smaller vanes ?

Bran, larger feathers will only hide other errors, such as a poor release or the wrong arrow spine. I don't have a very good release, but with properly matched arrows I can shoot 20 yards with no feathers at all (with field points--don't try this with broadheads, as they can act like feathers on the wrong end).

Flu-flu feathers will only slow the arrow down, which costs you energy/penetration; along with being super noisy (stand off to the side when someone shoots a flu-flu).

Get your bow tuned properly, match your arrows correctly, and work on getting a decent release;then you won't need big feathers for good arrow flight.
