Default Just Ordered a King's Pawn (pics added)

I just ordered a King's Pawn from Chad.

Looking forward to getting it in another six months or so. It'll be a purple heart riser, red elm limbs, black glass, and purple heart overlays on the riser and limb tips.

Thanks great!!!

You wouldn't happen to have a "certain" longbow that you need to sell to cash flow this thing would you? [8D]

Double, nope I have a hard time parting with any of my bows or guns. I did give away my Parker Comound a few months ago. Year after year, one of my fiends lets me hunt on a piece of property that he leases at no cost to me, so I felt it was appropriate. I couldn't stand that bow anyway.

I have a Thunderstick MOAB on order that should be in before the recurve, but the this recurve will be more special, I'm sure.

My Gram, who I was very close with passed away this past October, and I'm having the bow built in her memory. Her name and dates of life will be put on the bow. (As was my father's on the Adcock).

Cool. Will this be your first bow from Chek-mate? They have a good rep. Let us know how it works out for you.

Sounds great Bob. I think you will be thrilled with your Chek Mate, I love mine. You can't deal with a better guy than Chad.
Let us know what you think of your Thunderstick as well, especially the finish. The stuff they use is the same stuff we use to finish dining tables and outdoor furniture.
