Wax effect draw?

My muscles were sore today so I was drawing my bow to see if I'd be able to shoot. It seemed a little rough, but doable. It needed to be waxed too so I did that, then drew it some to get the wax worked into the string. It seemed to draw smooth and felt lighter after it was waxed. You'ns ever notice anything like this? Is there some kind of explanation for it, or is it a figment of my imagination?

I can't immediately identify anything concerning the bow itself that would account for this. Waxing the string shouldn't change the drawing characteristics discernably. Therefore, I would guess that the act of waxing the string perhaps got your muscles warmed up and stretched a little. This may account for your perception of drawing ease.
