Default Found an old takedown bow in Dad's shed

We were cleaning up Dad's place and I found an old Ben Pearson takedown bow in its black case. Does anyone know anything about this bow? Is it worth any money? I will keep ahold of it since it was dad's bow but he doesnt know much about it, he didnt even know it was in the storage shed, so I confiscated it and told him I would give it a good home. Any info?

You haven't given us much to work with. Need a name or model number.I'm sure you canfind original catalog info on the bowunder the Pearson logo atwww.archeryarchives.com

The site has catalog info running way back into the 30's but I don't think Pearson made a takedown before 1960. If it has a 3 digit model number, the bow was made before 1968. If it has a 4-digit number, it was made in '68 or later.

Pearsons don't have anywhere near the collector interest or popularity of Bear and Black Widow, but they made good, dependable bows. They are great bows for someone looking for a bargain.

I just got home and looked. It has DQ-141 marked on the bow. It also has 60# and 28" draw. It is in great condition, excellent. The paperwork is still in the pouch. There is no string (we probably used it to hang GI Joe as kids, lol). Just trying to get some info on it. I can post some pics if you like.

I spent some time looking through that site and didn't find any Pearson takedowns with that model number. He's missing about 5 catalogs though. Post up some pics. I'd love to take a gander at it.
