Default RE: Arrow Wraps

I've used them and liked them. My new arrows came with a crown dip and crested so I am not using them right now. With Fletch-Tite glue, when the fletching comes off so does the tape. The extra weight is negligible (sp?). Someone posted a while back about using mailing labels; designing and running them through the printer before affixing to the arrow. I haven't done any cresting so no help there.

I crest my arrows with automotive lacquer. Testors will work but it takes a long time to dry. Dick

I have crested carbons and aluminums with the EZ Wraps but have not tried them on wood. The weight is not a concern. I used AAE glue with AAE vanes for my compound and did not have any trouble with adhesion to the wraps. I have used AAe glue for feathers also becouse it is a much quicker setting glue than Fletch Tite (about 5sec.). I have not used the AAE glue on wood.

Do a search in this forum using the search button for crest wraps. I make my own, and they are much cheaper than buying them. They cost me about $10 to print 30 wraps, plus you can customize however you want.

The wraps look pretty good. The problem is that if you shoot alot and mess up your feathers refletching is a problem. The wraps are also hard to remove.

Also be careful using wraps because they could hide a crack.
