Default switching bows

I had the opportunity to shoot a 50# Martin Vision this weekend. I have been shooting a 50# Bear Kodiak Hunter recurve for the last couple of months and have progressed to the point where I can shoot a pretty respectable group (for me) out to 20 yards. When I shot the Vision, my arrows landed high and to the left. I shoot purely instinctively (I don’t use the arrow or anything else as a reference point) and it took me several rounds before I was “dialed in” and hitting around the center of the target. Is this normal and if so, how do those of you with several bows switch without throwing off your shooting?

I shoot alot of my bows and the same thing happens to me-hitting a little high and to the left. And like you,it usually takes a couple of shots to get the groove back. For the past month,I've only been shooting the 2 recurves I plan to hunt with this year, and they're hitting pretty much the same. It's pretty normal for me.

Most likely the difference in the grips caused it. You might have had the cant at a different angle also. There is an old saying "beware the man with just one bow"--I generally shoot just one bow myself (although I am not much of a threat on the 3-D course). My back-up is, however, almost identical to my primary bow.
