About Check-mate Bows?

I have read alot about them and do feel their beautiful bows. Here`s my question, As a long time compound shooter I`m thing about buying a take-down recurve. I realize that although I shoot a 70lb compound that is not a good weight to start shooting a recurve at. I wonder if anyone knows if Check-mate offers a bow that will allow me to buy a second set of heavier limbs later? I`m thinking about a 55lb bow to start and maybe a set of 65lb limbs later (i moose hunt ). I hope they do, and if anyone knows I know this is the place to ask. Thanks Pete

You can get different weight limbs for any of ChekMate's takedown recurves or longbows. I've put fingerprints all over a couple of ChekMate's Hunter II's and really want to get one. Look up LBR in the members list and send him a private message if you want to know more.

A bit of advice...You may want to think of starting lower than 55. I'd say 50 max and closer to 45. You'll learn to shoot faster, and it will be more enjoyable, imho.
