Default Looky what the postman delivered

In my on going goal of spending more than I make, I went out and bought a new to me bow this week....... A Horne's Combo Hunter......55*28......

Got it in around noon yesterday and went and shot about 10 arrows or so and then had to go back to work.. 'Bout 7:30 last night I pulled it back out and decided to take some pics of my first 2 arrows from 10, 15 & 20..... I was pleased being the first day and all..... This thing is scary fast!!

10yds

15 yds

and 20 yds

The first one at 20 was perfect, then I had a flyer.... Actually my first was good at all distances and then I got cocky and screwed up the follow up shots I went on and shot pretty good....... Still getting used to the almost 8 extra pounds!!! Feels like 20 extra

Seems like a great bow overall and I'm pleased with the purchase..

Congrats on a great bow double creek, bet you're gonna love it. My hunting bud ("Dances With Pigs") has one of those w/both recurve & longbow limbs, & w/either set it's a danged impressive performer! He likes it so much it's the one he picked to take on a 'once in a lifetime' caribou hunt we have planned for early this Sept.

This one for sure.... But I also have my eyes on another Horne Combo Hunter Who knows, I may have it in couple of weeks

What's the old saying....."The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem" [8D]

I want to get my hands on an Adcock, but dang if I can find one that someone will sell!!

Those groups suck compared to the way I was shooting this morning. It was one of those days where you just couldn't miss!!! Man I wish I had those everyday.

There was a used one that went on e-bay for $700 the other day. That's actually much more then what I paid for mine. At the time I ordered mine it was going to be a complete different bow - no carbon. But during the time that I had mine ordered and the time he started my bow, he went completely with the ACS system. He called and let me know that he would be unable to complete my bow because of the change, but offered me the ACS at the same price to my specifications and wood choice. I was bumed and happy at the same time.

But the bow is a sweet shooter. As far as me ordering another one - I don't know. I may try something else sometime in the near future like an all wood longbow. - no carbon or glass.
