Default Arrow flight

I am still on the quest to find the best arrow for my bow. I just purchesed some 2216s and have shoot them a few times. I shoot one of them bare shafted and it flew bad. The tail ended up about 18 inches high. Half the tine the wouldnt even stick in the target. I fleched one and it flew great, better then my 2117s do. i have never shoot the 2117 without feathers.
Is this normal or should I be looking for better arrow flight with a bare shaft.

Default RE: Arrow flight

Nock high indicates that your nocking point is off, either too high or too low w/arrow bouncing off the rest. Try adjusting your nock.
