Default Winchester going under

I just read on another forum that Winchester arms is closing shop and going under? Has anyone else heard this?

It would be a sad day indeed.

I read that on RFC as well. I think it is that Herstel Group is not making enough money with a US based manufacturing plant. It is sad because i love the model 70. The new factory that only opened up in 1994 so it is sad to hear this

It's true, it was on the T.V. news tonight. The plant is closing on 3/31.

Winchester going under
Winchester went under 42 years ago, they've just been living on borrowed time.
