Default 4" quick spins

I'm planning to shoot fixed blades this year. Just bought a pack of 4" quickspins and a dozen gold tips 5575's.

The box of quickspins says to install them with a 1 degree right offset. I just finished talking to a well experienced friend and he suggests I keep them straight. He's been shooting quickspins for a while now and says he's had better patterns with the veins straight.

Want to know your advice

I've used the QuikSpin vanes both with right off-set & straight. The only difference I've observed is the off set vanes is louder in flight verses the straight. As far as grouping, this all depends on the person holding the bow.
Because I am not using a drop away rest I choose to fletch mine straight.
Best of luck!!

toronto, have you purchased the quickspins yet? I have 1 pack of yellow and 1 pack of green that I am not going to use. Just couldn't get them to fly right with my setup. I have used 3 greens and 6 yellows and you are welcome to the rest if you just pay for shipping.

I usually tend to take the advice of the manufacturer of a product over one person. I would think they have done extensive testing and thus, the 1 degree right offset is probably the optimal placement for them.
