I need to know the length of the main beam , how long should it be ?
Currently the string and buss for my Bow's are 98.5" and 41.5".

wow, 98.5". jeeze louise! my main beam is 108" long. its a yellowstone. some jigs do things differently, but if you want to end up making yourself a tensioner to put the string under a lot of tension when serving, i'm not sure how to do it without a straight run. 200# of it will pull the string right off the posts if its a wrap aound, not to mention it will bend the crud out of the skinny rotating parts on top of the post. you may need to go a little longer than 108" if you want to really tension them.

Thanks for the info gibblet .
Once i get my vidio and more info on building strings i should be on my way. I can make the main beam as long as I need as long as it's less than 20' just don't have the room
I should not have a problem with the posts I machined them from Tool steel going to be hard to wreck them.
Thanks a lot
Bill

hey bill, once you get a few sets made the way in the video and start getting the hang of it, you'll start having questions about ' well how does Winners Choice do this,' or how does 'vapor trail' do that. i'm not going to admit that i reverse engineered these strings and a couple other companies, to learn the tricks, but what i am admitting is that it would be a very good idea if you want to learn how they do things.

or maybe when you get going we can get on the phone for a while.
