Default TRDZ spring noise

Has anyone had a problem with noise from the spring of a TRDZ rest when shooting? Mine is making a rattling sound everytime I shoot. Any way to eliminate it? I was told that the arm is dropping a little slow and haven't adjusted it yet, think this will help? I don't have a copy of the rest instructions and am not sure of all the adjustments.

WA SHOOTER, check both of the springs. My front spring was broke in 3 pieces. T/R sent me new springs and teflon tubes. I replaced the broken spring and after about a week my rest arm started to hang up. I think the springs are being overcompressed causing the coils to overlap and dig into the teflon tubes. I put a pin through the arm body 1/4 in down from the top to keep the springs from being overcompressed. Now I have good arrow flight and no contact with the rest. I have a call in to T/R about this problem GGBH

GGBH,
When you say both springs, what do you mean? The only one I see is the one on the arm recessed in the housing. Where is the other one? I still haven't received the rest instructions from Trophy Ridge.

Thanks

WA SHOOTER. where you see the front spring, right behind it there is another one. Look at the top of the spring housing and you will see two allen screw heads, they go through the springs. GGBH

My DRDZ is making a buzzing thud, for lack of a better term to describe the noise. It is driving me crazy. I love the rest, but that noise is driving me nuts. I have seen a thread posted elsewhere about placing some rubber inside to stop this type of noise, but I'd hate to open up my $100 rest and mess something up. Let me see if I can find that link.

Here it is... hope this works for you. I may just have to fiddle with mine.

i did that, plus you just have to keep an eye on all the screws. having your proper centershot and nock height will also make a difference.

Thanks Texas!
I'm not sure how much foolin' I'm willing to do with it. I have the Dalton Mirage 5000 on my Patriot and love it. Very simple, and has a cradle that allows you to turn the bow almost sideways without having the arrow come off.
I haven't shot it enough yet to decide if I want to keep it.

Guys if any of you are experiencing ANY problems with your DZ's then you need to call TR ASAP they will take care of you and fix the situation. The rest most certainly shouldn't be "buzzing" or making any sort of noice above the rest arm actually falling. The rest dropping is a sound that I have actually found to be less then most so like I said.... please call and talk to one of their techs and they get the problems solved. As you guys have mentioned, they shoot great I would hate to see any of you have problems that you couldn't get worked out. My favorite rest for any of my huntin' rigs is the TR DZ Hunter Model and they have been incredible performers for me. Good luck and good shootin and please keep us updated to what happens.
