well, how do you get the bow pressed, is that an electric motor? what are the bungies doing? it looks very cool. how much are they going for?

The rubber cords are what helps to balance the assembly out while there is not a bow in the press, otherwise it will fall to one side (motor side), it's very stable without a bow in it
That looks like a great design and I like the fact that there are no bottle jacks to have seals break on (happened to me), and ratchet straps to mess with.
Looks a lot like an electric motor off of a snowplow, mounted to some sort of flange that I'm assuming turns the threaded rod and draws the arms in towards each other. Very nifty.
How does it get power? Plug it into the wall, or your car?
Edit - what drives the rod to turn? Chain? Gears?
