Default Fletching Question (Bitz)

I am in the mood of trying to fletch my own arrows and had a question or two for those who use a bitz. My buddie has a bitz and he is left handed, I am right, he puts a left helical on his arrows I want straight. I have the straight clamp but not the Straight Tm nock reciever. Is it a must to have the correct nock reciever for the clamp? I noticed the feather doesn't sit well on the arrow and figured it was the reciever after adjusting the jig.

Any help is appreciated.

Also which is better, bitz or jo jan??

I dont have a Blitz but my Greyling jig is similar & uses the same nock reciever for right, left or straight clamps. I only need to change out the reciever to move my cock fletch or if I were to want to fletch with 4 or 2 feathers.
I dont think it should matter.
Are your arrows a different diameter? If they are you will need to move the clamp either in or out depending if yours are fatter or slimmer.

2 Feathers!!!!! is this a typo? Arrows can fly well with 2 feathers!? I don't see why not, but I've never seen or heard of a thing.

You should be able to use any Bitz clamp with any Bitz nock reciever as long as you have rotatable nocks. I use a straight clamp with a non-TM nock reciever to fletch my arrows with plastic vanes. After fletching, I just turn the nocks with a nock tool to the proper alignment.

Now if a person where to use a Whisker biscuit would they want to have straight fletching? seems as though if you were to go helical with the fletching wouldn't that cause the arrow to spin once the vanes start to pass through the WB do to friction on the whiskers as it passes through?

That would be a good thing, no? Get the arrow spinning and stabilized all the quicker?

if one of my fletchings gets knocked off my arrows shoot fine with 2 blazers. never tried it with broadheads though. uphunter, not sure why you want straight. at least give them a nice offset.

I never tried it but the directions in the box said just use the 4 fletcher with 2 feathers if thats what you wanted to do..
Thought about glueing 4 on a shaft a few times. I'd think you'ld get good arrow flight.
