Default Patriot @ 60# vs. Bowtech stalker @ 67#

I was thinking about a new bow for next season. Right now I have a Bowtech Stalker with the infinity cam. Right now I have 70# limbs but am only pulling in the 67#. If I get a Patriot with 60# limbs since a bow is usually most efficient when maxed out, will I be at about the same speed or will I gain slightly?

I would like to pull the lower weight for hunting and think this might be a good trade...less weight and more speed.

What you guys think?

You can't go wrong with the Patriot it's a great bow that you'll have for a long time . I'm sure the draw cycle will be much smoother on the Patriot but the brace will most likely be shorter with a shorter valley . But I'd go with the Patriot for sure . A little practice with the Patriot and you'll be almost be perfect.

I've got both bows, but in opposite ends of the draw weight spectrum.
I like both bows myself.
The Stalker is significantly slower than the Pat, but I pull 5 more pounds on the Pat so I can't compare them equally.
Without knowing anymore about your situation I would say get the Pat at the # you wish to hunt at and you'll be very happy with it. It is VERY smooth during and after the shot compared to the Stalker.
If you get a 60#er you could just max it out and be done with it.

I myself am getting 70# limbs for mine, but will most likely back it down to 65# or below. The one I test shot drew smoother for me when backed down and was faster apples to apples than the 65#er I ended up with.
Plus I think the 60-70# models probably have a larger resale base.

Good luck with your decission, I don't think you could go wrong either way.
