Default axel to axel lengths

I ask because i am looking at new bows for next year. One is 34 inches and the other is 36 inches. What kind of difference does this make to the shootabilty of the bow? Is longer suposed to be easier to hold steady. Just trieng to get some opinions on how this affects a bow overall.

Most people who use a finger release like a longer bow. They are a little more forgiving. Other than that, I am afraid I won't be of much help....

When talking about the differance between axle to axle lengths only you will probably never notive the differance between 34 and 36 inches.

Now when you add in other factors such as brace height, cam type and geometry, riser length, limb length, etc... etc... you will likley find that one shines over the other in the forgiveness area.

If you tell us what two bows you are actually considering we could probably help you a lot more than just giving us 34 & 36 inch ATA lengths.

Shootability not only includes forgiveness, but The bow's use. If you strictly hunt treestands in dense forests, you may find a very short ATA to make the bow more shootable (really helps when the bow doesn't hit something on the shot, in cramped quarters).

If you have no great concern that the bow's limbs will hit something on the shot, then you may want to choose based on where the string hit's your anchor points. Unless your draw length is very short, you're likely to find the longer ATA more suitable in this area.
