Can anyone tell me where I can find a replacement strap for a Scott Mongoose release? I have the velcro "hook and loop" style strap and it is about to wear out! I have checked the usual mail order outlets but they don't carry the replacement straps.
Illini, consider trying a buckle strap. After the initial stretching they fit great. They're also noiseless. I hate how the velcro tends to get junk in the rough side.

Did you guys order the camo cordura buckle strap or the black leather? I think they are only about $2 difference in price and Scott said the camo one wears better since the leather is covered in cordura.
I bought a Mongoose on eBay that came with 2 black leather buckle type straps. One was brand new and one was used but in very good condition. If you haven't purchased one yet and would like to try a buckle type out, e-mail me with your mailing address and I'll send you the used strap free of charge. If you like it keep it, if you don't you can mail it back and I'll keep it as a spare. Fair enough?
I prefer the Cordura. I had the leather one and it soaked up sweat. Stunk like you wouldn't believe after a couple years. Nothing I tried would remove the stench.
