Default Target Panic

A friend of mine told me that he has target panic and can't hit the broad side of a barn. Can anyone fill me in on this. I have never heard of it before. car

It is when your brain tells you to shoot even though you are not aiming at the right spot. You don't want to shoot but you jitter and hit the trigger.

Tell him to get about 5 feet away from a large target, and shoot with closed eyes. Concentrate on release and form.

Yeah Josh is right, eyes closed and work on form and regaining a routine. Also work on not punching the trigger but slowly squeezing it. I would also make sure draw length isn't to long and turn the bow down as low as possible.

Its a battle....good Luck!

If you can't hold your sightpin on a dot without unconsciously slapping the trigger you have target panic.

I with Josh, however I think he should set a bow down for about 2 months.

What Josh is talking about is called blind Bail shooting and is the best way to overcome target panic.
