Default The Allegiance has arrived! (pic added)

I got to pick up my Allegiance today 29 inch DL 60-70 pounds from JB's Archery in Middlefield Ohio. He gave me a Sweet discount on this baby too

Birth certificate says:
70.8 #, 29 inch draw length, 320 FPS

I have the hush kit, a kisser, tru peep and d loop all on the string.

I have it all set up now with 360 grain Gold Tip Pro Hunters at 65# with the 29 inch DL and a loaded up string shoots 302 fps.

I shot a 301 grain Korean Express (carbon express) 3-D select through it at 65# to see what it says. It smoked that baby 327 fps through my chrono[8D]

Copper Johns PROII
Trophy Taker Shakey hunter
Still experminting with stabilizer setups
Simms Ultras

It feels so much like my Patriot its scary! And thats a GOOD thing!

My local class 3-D boys better watch out, I'm gonna be bringing my game again this year[]

Hope to see some of you guys up at the IBO indoor worlds in Cleveland

You suck J/K

Can't wait to get mine. I'll be shooting a very similar setup to yours except with a 28" draw. Wonder what kind of speeds I'm look at.

Punk........

Actually I have not even ordered mine yet. I have 98% decided I want the Allegiance but want to shoot one first and my local dealer will not have one until tomorrow (Wednesday). I will be there tomorrow to test it out and plan to order it then. I have a short draw so those have not been manufactured yet anyways.

Buckeye, is that 360 grain Goldtip your 3D setup? 302 is plenty fast but almost everyone at the IBO Nationals will be at the 5 grains per lb. minimum. At the local shoots speed is not as important because the targets are normally not set as far, I can shoot 250 fps and win local shoots. At the Nationals most people want every fps they can get.

I am not sure yet if I will use the Gold Tips as they are set up now or not. I may strip the plastic vanes and put on some Gateways.

Then to save my FOC will drop point weight down as well to 75 grains.

That will put me at 338 grains. At 65# that will put me at 5.2 gpp.

I may even shoot my Carbon Express 3-D selects. I can get them down to 325 grains fairly easily. They seem to fly very well for me with the limited shooting I have done with them and I'm sure the fat shaft won't hurt me[8D]

I have alot of time to mess around with different arrow setups still. I have a 12 week 3-D league starting the second week of Jan. 40 yard max indoors. Can't wait[8D]

Congrats on the new bow buckeye, really got me thinking about it but I like my pat way to much to get rid of it.
I was wondering if bowtech is still using the same string as the 04 lineup.I am having problems with my serving seperating(shooting off string)and read that others were as well over the months.I am ordering new strings for my bow very soon, maybe winners choice,or might consider the GAS strings.

Mine just turned up as well

The first time I drew it back I thought oh crap some one screwed up and only put 50lb limbs on. But a quick check on the scales reveals that it is in fact a 60lb'er.

The draw is silky smooth and SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

Now I just have to set this baby up and do some shooting.

The BC says 60.9lbs 28" draw 300gr arrow 303 fps

hey Buckeye let me ask a question.

you say: It feels so much like my Patriot its scary! And thats a GOOD thing!

SO let me ask the obvious question, why buy one if it's just like the other?

Not dissing you just wanna understand the thought process, you obviously know more about bows than me so help in my education.

Badatta2d

The new cam system and its possibilities intrigued me[&:]

Level nock travel.
Not as much hassle setting the tiller.
WAY smoother draw force, it has a very fluid draw. No bumps or drop offs.
Feels like I am pulling less weight because the draw force starts off stout then gradually drops off weight to my anchor.
No split harness.
Cams should stay in perfect time even with string creep and stretch.
Faster and more powerful then my Patriot.

And because I like to get new bows[8D]

Justin.

My set up is gonna be with the MZE, Spott Hog Hogg-it, No-Peep, String loop and Bowtech "Wild Thing" stabilizer

For the moment I will be using my Axis arrows @ 400grs untill I can get some of the new A/C Super Slims.

The only problem I am going to have is that I loaned my spare MZE to a buddy so I will have to take the one off my BK so I wont be able to do any side by side shooting
