RE: Another fletching question
It is to identify how the nock lines up on the string. Some people have it up, some down and some out. It just helps get the arrow on the string with less fumbling around. I set them up in my quiver so the arrow comes out and goes on the string. I don't hunt out of a tree stand, so it is more important to be quick in elk country. Because if you walk around with an arrow on the string you will pay for it sooner or later.
