well, i'm not nubo, but 1/2 of it has a proprietary granular material in it ( sand ) and the other half has a proprietary liquid. one dampens high frequency and 1 dampens low. have you tried it yet?

When I shake mine I only hear the liquid ,but haven't heard the sand in the stabilizer ,Try it out first .Now if the noise is very noticable I'd get a hold of Jerry and I'm sure he'll replace it for you .You shouldn't really notice any sound's coming from it at all .

I've checked mine out and the only thing that I can hear is very little noise from the liquid in it ,Is the noise very noticable or can you barely notice it ?If it's noticable then I'd contact Jerry about it .I assume you have his e-mail address. If you can barely notice it I'd not bother then .
I never heard anything from mine till I read your post ,so I checked it out it's not something that would bother me ,so I'll use it as it is ,but you really have to listen in order to hear it .
Bayfire,
No need to e-mail Jerry about your stabilizer.........that is normal.
I have 4 of the things from lengths of 6" on up to my 12" 3D model and I can hear the granular mix AND the liquid in all of them.
There's nothing wrong with it.........enjoy it. It's a great product!
