Sorry, I've only shot the QAD, but I know the Ripcord is similar. I read the "test" in Bowhunting World magazine, and also read that the Ripcord is supposed to be quieter. I would add that my QAD makes very little noise. I took a GKF 3D Royal off my Darton Tundra to put on the QAD, and the QAD was much quieter, no comparison. I am also very pleased with the tunablilty of the QAD, and the accuracy I'm getting. To be perfectly honest though, I'm shooting virtually the same with my backup Rampage with a Starhunter rest, as I am with the Tundra and the QAD.

I've got the QAD on my bow and so far I am pleased with it. There is no noticeable noise at all with mine. No experience with the Ripcord.

I been using a Ripcord for a few months and I am not to happy with it .I really liked the idea behind it but found it lacked in adjustment.I have an AR 34 and when i set up the rest the arm would hit the shelf even adjusted to the maximum height so I had to deal with the noise, so good for the internal dampening.Even if it had more adjustment the piece of plastic that connects to the top of the rest was tight against the cable guard.I have also noticed that the string is getting worn from rubbing going into the rest.I do like that you can lock it into the up position and it does go down fast so no fletching contact and great accuracy but I think I will be replacing it soon.
