Default Question for bow techies ?

How heavy are the arrows they test 26 and below bows with. Do they shoot them with 5gr per inch arrows.

Default RE: Question for bow techies ?

This is out of my 2004 owners manual:

"Speeds for the Blackhawk2 and ladyhawk are based on a 300 grn arrow shot at 60 lbs with a 26 inch draw. The Rascal speed is achieved using a 200 grn arrow shot at 40 lbs with a 25 inch draw."

The website sort of suggests the same thing as it lists what draw length the bow was shot with to acheive the listed speeds. It doesn't say anything about the draw weight and arrow weight though.

And its 5 grns per pound, not per inch. 5 grns per inch would be an extremely light arrow unless you were shooting a really low poundage.
