Default PSE Thunderbolt...what's your opinion???

What do you think of this bow? It looks like a pretty good bow and especially for the money. I'm thinking of upgrading and was interested in some opinions. I've shot PSE for years and have always been happy with them. I just don't know anyone personally that has this bow. Thanks.

Well, even though I shoot a Mathews, this is one of my favorite little bows -- especially for the money. I am a huge fan of that lightning cam, and its draw stop (though Frank and some of the others may not be)

Do a search for Thunderbolt on here, and you'll find lots of glowing, positive praises about this little bow.

I own a '97 Thunderbolt twin cam. In 97, this bow was considered to be one of the best available. Simply put, I love it!

I have Trophy Ridge sight, PSE overdraw, whisker biscuit rest, limb savers, and a peep sight installed on it. The bow was already quiet but the limb savers made it even quieter. I shoot 2213 XX78's with Muzzy 100 grain broadheads. The bow has worked flawlessly for me. This past season was the first time I changed the string since owning it.

I have been thinking about purchasing a new bow and keeping the PSE as a backup. I'd like to get a shorter axil to axil bow.

Buddy of mine has one and couldn't be happier. It sends the arrows downrange pretty fast. His is a newer model...2000 or 2001 I think

Fast, light accurate, forgiving, cheap, what else do you need. There is alittle hand shock, but nothing that can't be controlled by limbsavers and a good stabilizer. Why do you think that it is the oldest bow in the PSE line up?

Thanks for the input. I currently have a PSE Inferno(about 6 years old). I am very happy with it, and have killed quite a few deer with it. But as you know once in a while you get the itch to upgrade. I've been wanting to try a one cam bow. I have never had one and I know they are good. I just can't see myself dropping a ton of $$ on a Mathews or others. I realize these are good bows, no doubt, just too steep for me. I'm thinking this might be the one for me.

Ive owned one for 5 years and love it. Ive killed several deer and it has performed flawless. My set up is 100 gr muzzys and pse arrows with a pse short overdraw. I even took it on an elk hunt this year.

I just became a Mathews shooter, but if I weren't, I would still have my PSE Caroll. I think PSE makes good stuff with excellant service.
