It did not fit originally on my Patriot. I had to send it back for the latest model which has 3 holes drilled on the shaft. I have had many issues with this rest. I had to adjust the spring tension and design my own launcher in order for this rest to work. It has bee a very trying experience. I have heard others with great success with it though. I think it really depends on the speed of your arrow as to how well it will work right out of the box.

Thanks for the replys guys, and jase i'am not swapping the qad for the trap door, i have to bows that i hunt with a hoyt razortech and a hoyt ultra mag, i love the trap door and wouldnt trade it for anything, i'am just looking for another drop away rest that will conseal the arrow till shot for when i'am stalking instead of hunting out of a tree stand.

Jrsy bowhunter
thanks for the info ,you was the only person that responded to a thread that I had about the mach 4 onto the hoyt and when I saw your thread I thought that you must of found some issues with the trap door
My mistake sorry. While you are here can I ask you a couple of questions about your set-up of the trap door
1.Did you mount it on your Razortec?
2.Does the launcher arms completely lay flat on the shelf before the rest is cocked on the hoyt?
3.Which of the holes did you use to mount the rest to the bow?
Thanks for your help and the info
Jason

The ripcoard is simalar , suposedly quieter, less chance of contact , and cheaper . Ive got a qad and had problems with contact with vanes , kind of loud allso .

Hi Again Jase, i mounted the trapdoor on my ultramag, i kinda like it a little more than the razor because it has a 36 axle to axle, the launcher does lay flat on the shelf before the rest is cocked and i mounted it in hole closest to the rear of the rest, i figured having it as far forward would be less chance of fletching contact, and jase when you do get your trapdoor mounted and tuned in wait till you see how your groups improve, last weekend i was shooting 2 to 3 inch groups out to 40 yards.

I guess it depends on the bow. I first tried the QAD on my Frankenstein bow, and was getting contact that I could not tune out. I thought about making my own launcher without the long containment arms, but Jeff B. suggested that perhaps I was having nock travel issues with that bow. Apparently I was, because once I installed the QAD on my Darton Tundra, I have had nothing but good from the combo. NO contact, total containment, silent on the draw, and much quieter than the GKF 3D Royal I had on the bow before. Excellent accuracy with broadheads out to 40 yards with mine.

Good point Joe , some things work on some bows and not others . I had my qad on a mavrick , wich has less brace than the tundra , dont know if that makes a diferance , but would not rule it out .
