Default Toughman rest ?

I just picked up a fred bear trx32 and cannot get the rest to adjust so it will not contact the fletching on the arrow. I am using monster buck hunter arrows with the original fletching and nocks. I havent shot a bow in 20 yrs WOW have they changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx. The rest is a golden key tm.

Default RE: Toughman site ?

need more info. when the arrow sits in the rest, is it even with the holes your berger hole - the one your rest screws into? when your arrow is nocked, is there a major downward slope to it when your rest is up? (if its a drop away). what kind of arrow rest? where is your anchor point? corner of your mouth? below your jaw? somewhere around your eye? what kind of sight is a toughman sight?

It is a golden key tm rest. not the site sorry. I anchor at my jaw bone using a release. The rest is one of the 2 prong spring loaded rests. The nock point is 1/4" above the center line. It seems as though the rest is too wide for the arrow no matter how I adjust it . I will check the berger hole alignment. I have not shot the bow as of yet because it does not seem like it will shoot right with the fletching contacting the rest.

if you are using a TM Hunter rest you need to align the Index fletch down so it will pass thru the 2 prongs.

if you are still getting fletch contact you will need to cherk for center alignment of the rest and also make sure you have a proper nocking point.

it would not hurt paper testing from 6 feet to make sure every thing is aligned properly.

It is not the hunter. It is a really cheap one that came on the bow new. I have managed to turn the nocks and adjust the rest so I have clearence but the arrow is resting on almost nothing. I plan to get a new rest, I just am not sure wich one I want yet.
